West Rand (Joburg West) HipHop has over the years produced some of the sickest emcees from it's shores that have gone on to make an impact on the nation through the HipHop culture with 98-2002/3 being considered the golden era of the West Rand with the likes of "Lyrical Kid","Dark Storms", "Ghost Disciple" and others dominating the RAP activity jam and as a matter of fact, the grootman "Oskido" asks me about some of these homies everytime i meet him...

Fast forward to two decades later, a bunch of new acts have come into their own to take it a step further and have grown to grab the worlds attention as the current cream of the crop rappers to carry the torch for  west rand HipHop.

Word has it that Battle Rap living legend Chro & the Hempire's "Sir Red Eyes & BIG Smiles" L7 are in studio together cooking a single to feature in both artists upcoming projects.

The two emcee's recently featured in the international Grindmode Cypher  as the west rand representatives and we cant wait to hear what they have cooked for us.
