Much like politicians campaigning for ballot votes, "Brotherhood Of The MIC" have been travelling South Africa with unofficial material since 2015 promoting and garnering support for their debut album "le Resistance" by "bombing stages and detonating with Microphones" as they put it.
From blazing over 50 SA stages such as Oppikoppi, Lyricist lounge SA, Rusty Dusty, Soco Shows plus more, the duo consisiting of a rapping beat boxer / Graphic Designer "ObsqO" and RAPtVst emcee / Creative "L7" have dropped two official singles in 2019 so far with the first one "Running Away" going over 5K streams and downloads in less than 2 weeks of release.
In an era where many rappers are backed by politicians who represent corporations aka governments to misrepresent the plight and struggles of the populace, Running away is a classic BoomBap RAP song that talks of not running away from injustices like police brutality, corporotocracy and corruption etc.
Produced by one of Africa's HipHop super producers "Sta B" of "Sky Klinic", the joint features rapper "Bong" dropping heat on the middle verse.
The joint is rather hard but soulful and easy on the ear with sick drums and esoteric melodies accompanied by mind boggling rhymes and lyrics from the trio.
